Last night I watched "Mama Mia". Some, including my husband, may say that it's "gay" (absolutely nothing against the gay & lesbian communities), but I really enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised by all the songs that were performed by the actors.
Amanda Seyfriend. I saw her for the first time on "Mean Girls" and didn't think much of it. She played a very blond & ditzy role so didn't really take her seriously. I did think she was cute though. Then I saw her in "Alpha Dog" (that movie would need a separate review), in which she played quite a different role. ANYWAY, to get to the point: Amanda actually has a very nice singing voice! When she sang the first song in the movie I wasn't sure it was her because it sounded a little different than her speaking voice. When the movie ended I watched through the end credits just so I can "confirm" that she sang the songs in the movie.
During the end credits another song came up. It was a female voice I wasn't familiar with. I thought, what a pretty voice?! I wonder who sings this song? I then found out it was Amanda! And she did perform all the songs in the movie! So did her co-star, Meryl Streep! I had no idea Meryl can sing like that!
Anyway, I think Amanda Seyfried is definitely an actress to look out for in the near future.

What's the rush?
I seriously don't understand why there are so many "mean" drivers out there. Since I've moved back to California back in 2006, I don't know how many times I've gotten flipped off or honked at for the minorest, pettiest things. It's so stupid and it annoys me to no end.
Why are you in a rush anyway? If you left a little earlier or on time, you wouldn't have to rush and honk at me because "I'm in your way". If you left just a little earlier, you most definitely wouldn't get frustrated at me because I'm driving at speed limit and give me the bird. Just leave early next time. Hello?! Don't you know that traffic in L.A. is bad already? It's your damn fault for being late. Don't take it out on me.
What does honking and giving me the middle finger do anyway? You're not going to get to your destination any faster. Just deal with it. You'll get there eventually. Again, if you left when you were supposed to, you wouldn't be in the situation you're in now.
Gosh people!!!

Barack Obama the 44th President
Maybe I never paid too much attention to past inaugurations; but this year, for the first time ever, as unemployed as I am, I took this opportunity by waking up early and sat myself in front of the TV for almost the whole entire day to devote my time to watch the inauguration and its news coverage. I was moved, proud, and so full of hope.
It's amazing to me that the President memorized his whole speech! That is truly amazing.
It definitely is worth an all-day celebration. Our nation is changing. I really hope that with Obama being President it will bring even more acceptance and less prejudice and discrimination among us. I also hope that it will create an even more sense of equality for all. One day I want people to just ask me what my name is, instead of what ethnicity I am.
Go Obama! Equality for all!

MUSIC REVIEW: Hit Man: David Foster & Friends
I came across this special music television event back in mid-December on PBS Channel. I've heard of this show because Oprah once featured a young 16-year-old singer from the Philippines (her name is Charice) who can sing like no other 16-year-old I've seen, who later on got invited to perform with Celine Dion at one of her concerts, as well as to this David Foster's event. I knew I had to check it out.
Was I pleasantly surprised?! This 2-hour event featured many "hit" songs composed and/or produced by David Foster performed by many talented vocalists such as Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Peter Cetera, Brian McKnight, Babyface, just to name a few. It was such an awesome show! If you haven't watched it, try to catch re-runs on the channel - I strongly recommend it. I still have it on my TiVo so I can always re-visit it.

UPDATE: "Bikini Girl" on American Idol Premiere
I saw this online (in case you haven't guessed, I read lots of articles from Yahoo! and MSN websites) and can't agree with Yahoo! TV Blogger Matt Whitfield more! "Bikini Girl" SUCKED! Well, I still like Simon the best though.

UPDATE: Viruses Going Around On Internet
Fox 11 News had already covered this topic a few days ago. But here is an article I just found online:

I got Phished!
Well, actually, I didn't. BUT, I did get the e-mail from someone TRYING to phish me! I can't believe it!
I actually knew but I wanted to see it for myself. Luckily for me, I recently got an anti-virus software so soon after I clicked on the (fraud) link, it warned me of it.
Unfortunately I'm not the kind of person who would just let it go. Especially if I've been wronged or mistreated or...you get the picture. I wanted to take it further. So, I searched for "how to report phishing scams" on the Internet. I then found a few ways on how to report them and so I did.
So the moral of this story? DON'T MESS WITH RITA! Well, also be careful & protect yourself!

See me in Wayne Brady's "You and Me" music video!
Okay. Don't get too excited. I am only a background in his video. And you can barely see me because they blurred the background!
Check out the video here: http://www.waynebrady.com/news/newsItem.cfm?cms_news_id=43
FYI: Look carefully and you'll see me at about 2:35 into the video on the left and 3:46 into the video on the right and 3:50 behind the little girl to her left.
Here's a picture of me and Wayne Brady on the day of the shoot:

I also met Shane Sparks (famous choreographer and one of the judges on So You Think You Can Dance & America's Best Dance Crew; I happen to be a huge fan of his) on the set and was able to get a picture with him...but on someone else's camera! Once I get it I will post it!
Circuit City to be Liquidated!?!
I read an online article this morning saying that Circuit City is closing the remainder of their stores (after they've closed some back in December) after a failed attempt to find a buyer. When big stores like Circuit City that has been around for more than 60 years make an announcement like this, you know that times are bad. Circuit City, among many others, are closing or are already closed. Some closed a few stores across the country due to poor sales but I'm sure they'll probably soon follow. It's a scary thought and it scares me tremendously.

SAG members need to say NO to Strike!!!
As you know my husband Tyrone is an actor and is a SAG member. He only got out of the U.S. Navy last year so he can pursue his dream full-time. He only just got ONE paid acting gig last week and the talk of SAG strike has been for a few months now and if the strike is authorized, it can pose an enormous threat to our family financially as we are both unemployed.
I understand why SAG members want to go on strike. They're not getting their part of their share for their work being posted on the online media, among other things. BUT, with the way the economic situation is already - people not getting (enough) work - you're gonna go on strike so NOBODY gets work and gets paid? Not only will SAG members be affected, but you're talking about a domino effect onto the whole entertainment community! Think about the writers, the crew...Most importantly, why can't you think about YOURSELF? YOU don't need work?! YOU don't need money?! Well, maybe you don't need money 'cuz you're already making millions...But think about all the struggling actors that are out there trying to make a living in an already hard economy!
Think twice and I say NO to SAG strike!

The Going-Ons
So as most of you already know, I am currently unemployed. As a matter of fact, I've been so for almost 6 months now. With the current economic situation, it's no help either. It's kinda depressing. But, I'm staying positive and optimistic, believing that everything happens for a reason and that good things will come.
The good thing that's already happened this year is that my baby (finally) got his very first (paid, although not much) acting gig! I was so happy and excited for him! Make sure to check him out on NBC's "Chuck", episode "Chuck vs. Predator". Remember to check your local listings!
Who watched the 2-Hour Season Premiere of "American Idol" last night? The girl who auditioned in a bikini SUCKED! Of course y'all know that the only reason why she was sent to Hollywood was because she showed up in her bikini! Not only can't she sing, but she thinks she's all that and a bag of chips! Speaking of "American Idol", what did y'all think about the new judge, Kara DioGuardi? I like her. She's cool. She's got a nice voice too. Better than that bikini girl, if you ask me.
I need to get a crown on my tooth! Can you believe it? I can't! How can I even afford it now?! It really SUCKS!!!
It's a week before Obama's inauguration and I definitely am excited for he is the very first African-American/Black President. But, at the same time, I have extreme high hopes for him as he sure got lots on his plate! I hope "YES, HE CAN"!
For those of you out there who don't have anti-virus software/program already...Go out and get one! There are viruses going around on the Internet and they're crashing people's computers! Protect yourself! If at all possible, buy the actual discs instead of downloading them from the Internet!
It's in the middle of January and frickin' 80 degrees outside?! Don't get me wrong - I don't mind the warm weather and all, but it's NOT NORMAL!!! I was watching History Channel the other day and it was talking about 12-21-12 (December 21, 2012) being Judgement Day or something (BTW, Judgement Day IS Armageddon right?), based on Nostradamus' prediction. There was another show about 7 causes/events that would lead to Armageddon and CLIMATE was one of the causes/events. I don't know what to believe but can't say that I don't NOT believe it.

I'm a Blogger!
It's been YEARS since I wanted to do something like this. I like to talk about just about anything. Such as sharing or rating my favorite restaurants, stores and things...ESPECIALLY sharing or rating (or dissing, rather) all the bad experiences I've had! :P
I didn't know how to go about doing this but saw it on my friend Amber's e-mail. Since I'm unemployed, I thought to give it a try!
